Vacancy – Human Resource Officer

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Career Options Africa, is a HR Consultancy firm specialized in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration support within the East African Region with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and now Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi.

In order to enhance our operations in Dar Es Saalam, COA seeks to fill the above position with a suitably qualified and competent Human Resource Officer with experience working in a busy business environment.

THE JOB

The HR Officer duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining our employee database to posting job ads. An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. You will also assist in creating policies, processes and documents.

Main tasks and responsibilities;

  1. 1. Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and dut
  2. 2. Provide and administrative support to Human Resources execut
  3. 3. Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  4. 4. Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.).
  5. 5. Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes.
  6. 6. Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulation
  7. 7. Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.).
  8. 8. Communicate with public services when necessar
  9. 9. Properly handle complaints and grievance procedure
  10. 10. Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interview
  11. 11. Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employee
  12. 12. Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our datab

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications;

  1. 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human resource management, social science, and related fie
  2. 2. 2 years hands on experience in the HR fie
  3. 3. Experience in office administration and staff sched
  4. 4. Experience in payroll manageme
  5. 5. Good knowledge of computer packages MS office, excel, PowerPoint, HRIS or HRM
  6. 6. Basic knowledge of labour laws.
